Assoc Prof. Alexander Bürgin was invited to hold a presentation on the European Union at Dokuz Eylül University. In his speech Bürgin referred to the achievements of the EU such as its contribution to peace and stability on the European continent, its economic benefits and its influence in world politics. As regards the most pressing current challenges he highlighted the necessity to reform the economic governance and the refugee management of the EU.
