Jean Monnet Project Description
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alexander Bürgin, Head of EURAC has been awarded a Jean Monnet Chair by the European Commission in August 2015. In Turkey, in total only two professors have been selected as Jean Monnet Chairs in 2015. A Jean Monnet Chair is a title assigned to university professors with a specialisation in European Union studies, including financial support for three years. In the academic community, the Jean Monnet Chair is recognised as a sign of excellence.
With the grant of the EU, Bürgin will be able to realize his submitted project, titled Challenges and Achievements of EU Governance. A summary of the project can be found here.
