EURAC hosted German Turkish Social Market and Innovation Forum for Young Academics
In partnership with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the German Academic Exchange Service, the European Research and Application Center (EURAC) at the Political Science and International Relation Department hosted the ‘German Turkish Social Market Forum for Young Academics.
Around 20 participants from Germany and Turkey discussed the effects of digitalization and technological innovation on sectors such as industry, agriculture, heath, education and politics.
One of the keynote speakers was the German Consul to Izmir, Dr. Rainer Lassig. Another highlight was the participation of Tunç Soyer, Major of Izmir, at the conference dinner. The participants also enjoyed the beauty of Izmir during a boat tour on the gulf.
Walter Glos, Director of Konrad Adenauer Foundation, and Alexander Bürgin, Head of EURAC, intend to organize further common events at IUE.
